24-year-old bicyclist dies after crash in Huntington Beach

A 24-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash with an SUV in Huntington Beach on Friday. 
The crash happened at about 7 p.m. on Beach Boulevard and Taylor Drive, according to Huntington Beach Police Department officers. 
They say that the motorcyclist, only identified as a Rosemead resident, was speeding southbound on Beach Boulevard while riding a 2024 Yamaha R1 when he collided with a gray Mercedes GLS450 that was traveling northbound and was making a U-turn in the left turn lane at Taylor Driver. 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police, according to HBPD’s statement. Intoxication was not considered a factor in the crash.
